Daphnia (a.k.a. Water Fleas ) is a type of zooplankton. Daphnia are not insect but a small crustacean. Daphnia are filter feeder, they feed on green water (micro algae), detritus, bacteria and yeast. Daphnia are widely cultured by aquarist and breeders as live food for fries (baby fish) and adult freshwater fish. Many species of daphnia are also being used by Environmental Labs for toxicology test. Our cultured daphnia have been captively kept pure and free from harmful disease for more than 5 years. Thus our strain are more adaptive and resistant to domestic water conditions and other reasonable parameter compared to wild caught daphnia.

Halfmoon bettas are derived from its original veiltail ancestors through endless efforts and selective breedings to have a fully open tailspan of 180 degree or over. As mejestic as they are, more than often, Halfmoons are usually shy away by begineers as they are harder to keep, maintain and requires more attention due to they are more fragile and weak compared to the short tail plakats. However, good quality halfmoons are highly demanded by experienced hobbyists and begineers that like challenges. their price are also the most expensive of bettas in general.
